Now that I have my summer class out of the way, I'm going to enjoy what I can for the rest of summer! I've been drawing a lot more too, so hopefully I'll post those up quickly. For now though, this weekend I'm going to California to visit my grandparents! It's only for the weekend though, so we won't even be there for more than a day really. :(

I miss having long vacations (haven't been on one for years) but I guess now that I'm older, I won't be as easily entertained there like I was when I was a kid.

I'm also trying out copic markers after I got a pack on sale. Unfortunately, it didn't have the basic colors that most people start out with (they were mostly secondary colors), so I'll have to start buying them, but I honestly don't know what colors to start out with! I've been trying to find out what colors would work for skin tones, and good base colors in general, but haven't come up with much.

Also, this has been bugging me for a while: When artists sell fanart at anime conventions, why don't they get in trouble for it? It's illegal isn't it? I mean, when I was younger, I bought all sorts of fanart at the con here, but didn't think about that until recently. Cons are official events, so I figured that there would be a strict policy on it. Discuss?

i would assume it is, but I've never been to a con and didn't know people did it. I would think that if you sold artwork it would have to be your own characters too... Copics look like fun, there's an artist I watch that I think tells you which colors to use for skin tone in a tutorial, I'll send you the link when I find them!
